I know we sent you an email about Tim Kaine’s race the other day, and right off the bat I want to personally thank everyone who rushed in donations to help him out. I also wanted to follow up to underscore just how important it is that we keep Tim in the Senate with us in the next election. Let me tell you a quick story.

Last fall, the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act by just one vote. If Democrats didn’t have Tim Kaine in our corner that day, the GOP would have been able to stop that pivotal legislation in its tracks — blocking lower health costs for families and action to combat climate change.

Our friend Tim has been a crucial member of the Democratic majority that has delivered the Inflation Reduction Act, the American Rescue Plan, and other priorities like protecting the right to marriage equality and bringing manufacturing jobs back to America.
