John — a few weeks ago, the Supreme Court stayed a lower court order that threatened access to the abortion pill mifepristone… for the time being.
But that’s not the end of the far-right challenge to abortion medication.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s to come:
In about two weeks, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments over mifepristone. The 5th Circuit has been called the “most extreme” court in America after a spate of far-right appointments by Donald Trump.
After the 5th Circuit, the case will head back to the Supreme Court — and its Trump-appointed conservative supermajority.
