Today’s news is as big as Texas. And it couldn’t be any better. My friend Colin Allred announced today that he is running for U.S. Senate to defeat Ted Cruz and deliver better, stronger leadership for the people of Texas.
I’ve known Colin since we met on the campaign trail in 2018, back when we were both running to unseat long-time Republican Congressmembers and to put our country back on a path to progress. And I have served with him since we won those races, helping flip the House from red to blue and bringing the voices and priorities of Texas to Washington, D.C. Now, Colin is taking on a new challenge, bringing that same effort to the Senate.
We made history in 2018. And we are going to do it again in 2024.
As we have learned, it will take all of us working together to make it happen. That’s why I am writing to you to share the news and to ask for your help in supporting Colin.
