Yes, folks, you heard that right.

North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, who just launched his campaign for governor, is an extremist legislator and dangerous to LGBTQ+ folks. At a time when North Carolina is debating some of the most restrictive anti-LGBTQ bills to date in their state legislature, electing Robinson as governor would ensure these bans pass – and more bad legislation would get signed into law.

Extremists like Robinson DO NOT belong in office, folks. This man’s views are the best case we can make for electing LGBTQ+ voices at all levels of government. We NEED LGBTQ+ people in the room to drown out these bigots and block their toxic legislation. Pitch in today to help support candidates that will challenge bigots like Robinson!

Robinson has consistently spewed hatred against the LGBTQ+ community and against equality as lieutenant governor. Here are just SOME of the horrible things Robinson has said:

• Called the conversation around gender identity and sexuality “filth”;
• Equated LGBTQ+ folks with “what the cows leave behind” as well as “maggots” and “flies”;
• On churches that welcome LGBTQ+ folks: “makes me sick every time I see it, when I pass a church that flies that rainbow flag”;
• LGBTQ+ rights are turning the U.S. into a “hellhole”;
• Blaming the LGBTQ+ community for economic strains in the state!

Running for governor would give Mark Robinson the steering wheel to all anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and the signature to put them into effect. Your support is key to keeping extremists like Robinson out of office – and electing a firewall of LGBTQ+ candidates to stand up to bigots like him.
