Seventy million people in the United States can't afford the costs of their health care, and the Trump administration is doing everything it can to take away health care for millions more. People continue to live in fear of the next sickness or injury, knowing it could mean losing everything over one accident or emergency. People are getting locked into jobs because they need their employer-picked insurance.
Medicare for All would guarantee quality health care to everyone in the United States as a fundamental human right. There would be no insurance premiums or deductibles, and no risk of ever losing your health insurance again.
Trump’s lies about Medicare for All “destroying” health care were just that: lies. The only thing that would get destroyed would be the ability of insurance corporations to hold us hostage when we were sick or injured. But his scaremongering could influence the election, and if that happens, we could lose this fight.
