Quick reminder that we will be
rallying outside of Senator Warren and Markey's offices
(1550 Main St. Springfield, MA) tomorrow (Weds. Feb 5th) at 4pm and delivering our letter to Senator Warren's office, who has not responded to any of our demands or our most recent correspondence.
If you want a
ride from Northampton, text me at 845-641-7882 – some of us will be carpooling from downtown. If you would like a ride from elsewhere, I encourage you to post in the
Facebook event and self-organize a ride.
Both Warren and Markey's offices know that we are coming. Due to that pressure (within 24 hours of our latest email to Markey announcing the rally, he
condemned the coup in Bolivia). However, he continues to support sanctions against Venezuela – and emailed us a statement today detailing this position that we will read at tomorrow's rally.
In the face of this, and knowing the effectiveness of public pressure, it is essential that we show up tomorrow.
