Dear VCC Community, I’m experiencing two different emotions at this time – grief and hope. The grief is a result of the difficult testimonies shared at the National Citizens Inquiry by the many Canadians whose lives have been shattered, dismantled and crushed by the actions of our governments and public health. It’s hard not to weep following each testimony as the harms caused by our governments are laid bare. At the same time I am hopeful. The truth is emerging. The voices of those whose only agenda is to tell the truth are finally being
heard. Absent are the shrill efforts of our government and media to censor and shame those who expose what has been hidden. Truth is being liberated. What is noticeable by their absence are our government agents and mainstream media. This is not for lack of being invited. Hundreds of government and public health leaders have been given a personal invitation to tell their story, provide their evidence, and justify their actions. Global, CTV, CBC, and all major mainstream print media too have been invited. Their unwillingness to testify speaks volumes. I feel that the seeds of a new democracy are being planted. I see Canadians finding their courage and their voice. I see fear diminishing and a resolve to take back our country
increasing. And I’m confident that this is just the beginning. Never again will we naively comply and allow our country, our values and our Constitution to be so violated. We are taking responsibility for creating the kind of community we want to live in. Ted |
