"This is going to be an access crisis."

That's what Nancy Northup, our President & CEO, told CNN a year ago today when a draft opinion in our U.S. Supreme Court case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization , was leaked—previewing the impending reversal of Roe v. Wade .

As some courts try to turn back the clock on our rights, we need you more than ever to fight forward. [[link removed]]

JOIN THE FIGHT FORWARD [[link removed]]

Today more than 71 million people in the U.S. live in a state where abortion is illegal. And while the fight to expand our essential reproductive rights may be long, it is vital and in some cases lifesaving work. Renew your commitment with a gift today. [[link removed]] Thanks to your support, since the Dobbs decision was leaked a year ago, the Center has:

* Filed the first lawsuit brought on behalf of women denied abortion care since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe.

* Joined five other organizations to launch the Abortion Defense Network, a new program to connect people facing legal threats related to abortion care with attorneys.
* Filed lawsuits on the heels of the Dobbs decision challenging abortion bans in North Dakota, South Carolina, Arizona, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
* Secured court rulings to recognize abortion rights protections under state constitutions in South Carolina, North Dakota, and Oklahoma.
* Filed briefs in support of preserving access to medication abortion across the country as legal attacks increase to that type of care.

And we're only just getting started. Anti-abortion extremists won't rest until they ban all abortion nationwide. We will be in their way, every step of the way.

When they try to deny access to medication abortion, we fight for your right to essential health care... When they try to pass laws to prevent travel across state lines for abortion care, we fight to defend and expand that access... When they seek to criminalize abortion providers, we'll fight for their right to provide medical care.

TRULY , WE NEED YOU. [[link removed]]

It's not going to be easy, but with your support we will move forward.

Together,

Jenny Ma
