John, so many of us have first-hand experiences of the personal and painful struggles to find and align with allies, connect with community, and live as our authentic selves. Many of us remember when marriage was legally limited. Families were defined by obsolete criteria. Entire institutions turned their backs on one of the most universally shared human experiences: love. Today, we are once again seeing the expansion of systemic anti-LGBTQ+ legislation—this time targeting our most vulnerable: students and young people.

Banning books and curriculums. Censoring thought and expression. Removing suicide prevention resources. Preventing trans and intersex student athletes from participating in sports. Ending gender-affirming care. Structuring practiced transphobia and homophobia. These attacks and harassments are being written into local and state laws. Politicians are using kids as political pawns John, supporters like you help remind LGBTQ+ youth that there is someone fighting on their behalf so they can focus on being students. Take action in defense of LGBTQ+ youth in every school setting. |
We did not advocate for safe spaces and inclusive education environments for the past thirty years to see them erased now. Join me in liberating LGBTQ+ students from the violence of racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, ableism, and all forms of systemic oppression.
With your help, we’re going to continue to fight to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth have access to the care and resources they need to thrive in K-12 schools nationwide. |
