John, the way we will change perception in rural America is by talking to our neighbors. It's as simple as that.
Studies show again and again that the majority of people agree on simple premises like:
- Healthcare should be affordable and easy to access
- Low-income families should not have to shoulder the burden of food insecurity
- Individuals should be allowed to make choices about their own bodies and healthcare
- Access to necessities like internet should not be something that individuals can be "priced out of"
The list goes on and on. We always have more in common with our neighbors and our fellow community members than we tend to realize. That notion speaks to the core of change: organizing and talking to one another.
The work of local organizers accomplishes this by using transparency in the function and effect of government policies. These organizers and activists speak and act in advocacy for the good of their communities in government, and will let those actions speak for themselves.
This is how we win, and this is how we improve the lives of those in our communities. John , will you help empower the organizers of ROCC to inspire civic engagement and enact policies that support working families by chipping in a small donation? [[link removed]]
