Dear Friend,
This month marked my first 100 days in the 118th Congress! During this time, I’ve been hard at work on behalf of Illinois' 11th Congressional District, which now spans eight counties after redistricting went into effect earlier this year.
Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to around the district:
Aurora Office Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On April 8th, I hosted an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for my new office location at 2000 W Galena Blvd, Suite 303, in Aurora. It was great to connect with local constituents and talk to them about the variety of services my office can provide – from helping with a federal agency to scheduling tours in Washington, DC.
More information on the services my office provides can be found here.
Introductory Town Halls
I also held three introductory town halls in Huntley, Geneva, and Warrenville – each designed for constituents to learn about my background as a scientist and a businessman, and ask questions about the issues that matter most to them.
I was thrilled to meet so many constituents and hear their thoughtful questions, and I'm excited for the upcoming town halls we have planned in other parts of the district.
Meetings with Mayors and Village Presidents
At the beginning of the 118th Congress, I set out to meet with Mayors and Village Presidents all across the 11th District to learn more about their priorities. I've always been committed to ensuring the communities I represent in Congress get their fair share of federal resources, and these meetings are integral to learning how I can support local initiatives at the federal level.
In total, I held 14 productive meetings with different Mayors and Village Presidents – from the Southeastern part of the District in Lemont, all the way up to Belvidere in the Northwest. I'm looking forward to continuing these meetings in the coming months.
I'm proud of the work we've done these past 100 days, and I'm looking forward to the many events we have planned for the coming months. Be sure to stay subscribed to my newsletter, and follow me on Facebook to learn more about these events, as well as my work in DC.
As always, my office is here to work for you. Don't hesitate to reach out by calling one of the numbers below or visiting my website at foster.house.gov.
Sincerely,
Bill Foster Member of Congress
