Friends -- tonight is the State of the Union Address in Washington.

Don't believe Donald Trump when he tells you that the state of our union is strong.

America is in crisis. We're in the battle for the soul of this nation. That's why I'm running for president and why I hope you'll chip in $5 to help me defeat him in November.

As president, Donald Trump has ignored our country's middle class and instead, handed out excessive tax cuts for the mega-wealthy.

He has done everything in his power to roll back the progress we made in the Obama Administration through Obamacare, including to protect Americans with pre-existing conditions.

He has left America's farmers to suffer by engaging in reckless trade wars.

He has failed to make our schools and our communities safer by cozying up to the gun lobby and failing to support many of the most basic gun safety policies.

He has put ALL of us in direct danger by siding with the oil companies over our planet and pulling America out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

And worst of all, time and time again, he has threatened the norms of our democracy and our most vital institutions.

The state of our union is suffering from Donald Trump's first term. I believe we can recover from four years of Donald Trump. But if we give him eight years, he will fundamentally change the character of our nation. We can't afford to let him win. That's why I'm asking you to chip in $5 to my campaign today.
