Extremist Republicans are escalating their attacks on the LGTBQ+ community.

This year, nearly every state has bills targeting LGBTQ+ people; seven have been introduced in Oregon. There are more than 400 bills nationwide, and that's more than the past five years combined.

This is hateful and wrong. And we must decisively call out these attacks.

This is not just a problem in Republican-led states. Extremist Republicans everywhere, including in Congress, are targeting LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly youth.

LGBTQ+ youth are already four times more likely to die of suicide than their peers because of hate and stigma. These aren't just culture wars. This anti-LGBTQ+ legislation will cost lives.

I'm committed to standing firm against attacks on LGBTQ+ communities. I'm working hard to fight discrimination so LGBTQ+ people can live free from hate.

It will take all of us coming together and standing up against these cruel attacks.
