We’re working hard to send Lizzie back to the House, and we’ve been busy sharing that message at events around the district.  We’re connecting with voters and volunteers as we gear up for a big year in Texas next year—the primary is less than a year away and we will be working to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot across Texas and across the country.

Here are a few highlights of Lizzie’s trips around the district to meet with the people who are doing the work on the ground from the Bellaire/Braeswood Democrats to Fort Bend’s Front Porch Democrats to the Houston LGBT Caucus. 

May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month!  

Lizzie is so proud to represent the rich and diverse AAPI community in TX-07—including advocates, business leaders, and cultural ambassadors who have long been a part of our city’s history.  As a member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, Lizzie proudly works with AAPI members of our community to promote equality, reject prejudice, and improve access to opportunity for all.

Lizzie has also been working hard to make sure people know about the good work President Biden and Congressional Democrats have done together.  Recently, Lizzie spoke with Khambrel Marshall on KPRC2’s “Houston Newsmakers” to discuss the historic investments from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and how she is working to make sure they touch every corner of Texas.

Also—in case you missed it—Lizzie received a 100% pro-retiree rating from the Alliance for Retired Americans!

Lizzie consistently stands up for seniors in Congress to ensure that they can retire confidently.  She voted to allow Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices, and she continues to fight to protect Social Security and Medicare from those who seek to undermine and weaken the programs seniors depend on.
