John,
One year ago, the Dobbs decision leaked, and everything changed. One year ago, we learned that the Supreme Court would likely overturn Roe v. Wade, ending federal protections for abortion and beginning a new phase of the radical right’s ongoing attack on our reproductive freedom.
One by one, states across the country have instituted cruel abortion bans, against the will of the people. Anti-choice judges and legislators have thrown the future of medication abortion into shambles. A federal abortion ban remains in the cards if anti-choice leaders get their way, and every day, we see a new story about the devastating consequences of patients not being able to access the healthcare they need and deserve.
And yet, we know that we are fundamentally a prochoice nation. With your support, we won everywhere abortion was on the ballot last year, from Michigan to Kentucky to Montana, and elected hundreds of prochoice champions. This year, our plans are even bigger.
John, if you’re able, please consider making your first gift to #VOTEPROCHOICE to help us register and turn out voters in Ohio to win a critical abortion ballot initiative.
Ohio Republicans are doing everything they can to block this ballot initiative, and that's why we can't wait to fight back.
Right now, we are working to register and engage new prochoice voters in Ohio — specifically young people and women of color. Every $2 raised helps us register a new prochoice voter and brings us one step closer to eventually winning abortion rights in Ohio.
If you’re able, contribute now to help our work to secure abortion rights across Ohio.
There is no time and no room for compromise or negotiation. #VOTEPROCHOICE remains committed to protecting abortion access in every corner of the country and electing prochoice champions up and down the ballot. It’s past time the entire Democratic ecosystem joined us.
