The Democratic Party has failed us again.

John,

The Democratic primaries started in Iowa yesterday.

Not with a bang, but with “world-historical incompetence,” according to writer David Klion.

After the close of the caucuses yesterday, there was mass confusion over the use of a new vote counting app. Almost 24 hours later, results still haven’t materialized.

This isn’t an experiment; it’s our democracy. The Democratic Party’s failure to ensure a fair primary election is a disgrace. It’s time for new leadership!

The decision to use an app to count votes in the Iowa primary was wildly irresponsible.

The app was reportedly built by a third party corporation that was paid not only by the Democratic Party, but by Pete Buttigieg’s campaign, an obvious conflict of interest. The app was clearly not tested well enough. There are also major security concerns—passwords have already been leaked on social media!

Climate change, healthcare, and a war in Iran are just a few of the issues at stake in this presidential election.

We need a Democratic Party that's going to take this election as seriously as voters deserve. Chip in $15 to help us get to Congress today!

Even despite the chaos, there are reasons for hope.

Initial results out of Iowa are looking good for Bernie Sanders. The campaign’s internal numbers place Sanders in the lead.

Many immigrant families joined the Bernie campaign to caucus for the very first time ever, and there was the first ever caucus held in a mosque!

We’ve always known that this would be difficult. But together, we can win this!
