Thanks to unprecedented investments in renewable power, the U.S. is shifting towards a clean energy economy. But now some Senators are threatening this progress.

As soon as tomorrow the Senate is planning to vote on a bill that would make it harder and more expensive to access solar-power. This bill uses a familiar tactic to undermine the U.S.’ growing solar market — the Congressional Review Act (CRA) — which gives Congress a chance to overturn the President’s policies. The Senate is planning to vote on the Solar CRA bill tomorrow! This bill would increase prices for consumers and halt clean energy projects across the country. Tell your Senators to reject the Solar CRA and defend America’s growing clean energy economy! [link removed]

Here’s the situation. Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act communities across the U.S. are adopting clean energy technology at a rapid pace. But to keep up we need a sufficient and reliable supply of solar panels for builders, homeowners and businesses. To help, President Biden proposed a momentary pause on tariffs against certain imported solar panels — so we can build an affordable and efficient supply chain of clean energy technology.

But now some members of the Senate are trying to halt this momentum through the Solar CRA bill. If passed, this could hault thousands of projects around the country. It would slam the brakes on new solar installations by slashing the supply of solar equipment, while raising prices for homeowners and small businesses hoping to make the switch to renewable energy! Simply put, this could be a major setback to achieving the nation’s climate and clean air goals.

Solar power is a key tool to protect our planet from climate change and ensure that communities have access to clean and affordable power. That’s why we need you to take action! Send your Senators a powerful message and urge them to vote NO on the Solar CRA. [link removed]
