Ohio’s primary and special elections are today, John.
Ohio voters will head to the polls to select local, municipal, and school board candidates for the 2023 elections. I wanted to reach out to encourage you to cast your ballot, John. These elections often have very low turnout, meaning your vote makes an even greater impact on shaping Ohio’s future.
Today’s election also has me reflecting on the people-powered campaign we built to win in 2022. Thanks to your support, my Democratic colleagues and I have been able to deliver for Ohioians with billions in federal funding through the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, bringing jobs to Ohio families and uplifting our communities.
I’m so grateful to my grassroots backers for supporting my efforts to continue moving Ohio forward and finish the job in Congress in 2024. But, John, Ohio is one of just a handful of states that will undergo redistricting this year. That means I’m bound to get new constituents. I’ll need to get to know them ahead of election season in 2024, and to do that, I need to stay prepared.
