I'll get right to the heart of it: CitizenGO's fundraising is down by just over 2,000 monthly donations so far in 2023. And that comes on top of a tough 2022.

I understand why: With so many crises worldwide and the rising cost of living, it's been harder for many people to donate.

CitizenGO isn't alone. Donations to pro-life and pro-family organizations are down across the board. But unlike most other organizations that are largely funded by big grants or wealthy donors, CitizenGO is funded primarily by small-dollar, grassroots donations from people like you!

Focusing on small donations of $7, $10, or $20 has been a core tenet of CitizenGO's mission since our founding, because it ensures that we can remain fiercely independent and responsible to only our members, not the whims of corporate interests or the political establishment.

Meanwhile, CitizenGO's work truly is as urgent as ever: We continue to fight against the expansion of abortion worldwide, stand up for the natural family, and defend religious freedom for Christians and others facing persecution.

You may be wondering what CitizenGO does with the money we raise.

The short answer is: a lot!

Some will go immediately to fighting against the expansion of abortion in the U.S. and worldwide, ensuring that the most vulnerable lives are protected.

Some of the money will be put toward campaigns that promote traditional family values, defending the rights of kids from activists of the LGBT lobby, helping parents, and saving the institution of marriage.

Some will go to supporting, training, and amplifying member-led organizing to oppose policies and legislation that threaten religious freedom and the rights of Christians facing persecution.

Some will be put into campaigns to combat the disinformation that pervades the world, from exposing media bias to campaigning for young people to have access to accurate information about life, family, and religious freedom issues.

And some will be used to ensure that CitizenGO is able to continue paying our incredible, hardworking staff the good, fair wages that we believe our team members deserve.
