Livestreamed news conference Tuesday, 5/2, at 8:30 a.m.: Bipartisan coalition announces strong support for SCA 4 to Repeal the Death Tax
We thought you'd like to know that there will be a news conference on the West Steps of the Capitol Tuesday morning, May 2, at 8:30 a.m., where HJTA President Jon Coupal will join Sen. Kelly Seyarto, R-Murrieta, Assembly Member Mike Gipson, D-Carson, and special guests to announce strong support for Senate Constitutional Amendment 4 to Repeal the Death Tax that was imposed by Proposition 19 in 2020.
Our apologies for the late notice, but we just found out this evening that it will be livestreamed and we wanted to let you know so you can see it. We anticipate that a recording will be available later if you miss it.
Thank you to all our HJTA Members for calling your representatives, writing letters and spreading the word about the importance of protecting California families from unaffordable tax increases when a parent passes away.
SCA 4 is scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Governance and Finance Committee on May 10. If you haven't already called your representatives to urge them to become co-authors, it's not too late! Look up their names and contact information at findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov.
Below is a copy of the news release that went out this evening. The livestream information is at the end.
Thank you!
