Folks,

I just read through your answers to my 2020 State of the Union Survey and the overwhelming majority of you are concerned about the state of our country, safety, and democracy.

It’s no wonder why.

Tonight, we’ll hear Trump give his State of the Union address. And if the last three years of his presidency are any indication, he will once again use the national stage to push a divisive, xenophobic, and anti-immigrant agenda.

Let me be clear: From enacting a Muslim travel ban to sabotaging our health care to attacking abortion rights, Trump and the GOP’s extreme right-wing policies have no place in our country.

Now is the time to double down, dig deep, and turn our anger into action. This year, we can stop the GOP’s attacks, send these right-wing politicians packing, and finally bring about progressive change for all communities.
