Unions put power back into the hands of workers, and every worker deserves a union.

Happy May Day, John! 🌹

On International Workers’ Day, it’s a great reminder that unions are:

  1. Growing. Last year, 16 million workers became union members – an increase of 273,000 from 2021 to 2022.
  2. Popular. Labor union approval is at the highest point it's been since 1965 with 71 percent of Americans in favor of unions.
  3. Necessary. Corporations are raking in record profits while workers’ wages stay stagnant and work conditions are substandard. Transforming workers’ lives through livable wages and safe working conditions depends on building worker power.

Unions put power back into the hands of workers, and every worker deserves a union. This May Day, we want to share a critical resource that can help you or someone you know, organize your workplace.

Check out the AFL-CIO’s guide on how to form a union – click here to learn more about organizing your workplace.

We’re in a new era for worker power and the more workers organize, the more we win.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats

PS: We’re committed to electing pro-labor progressives to Congress. Will you chip in right now to support our work?
