Today is May Day, also referred to as International Workers Day. The date has been associated with workers since the 1880s, when labor movements around the world were fighting for fair work conditions like an eight-hour workday and the right to organize labor unions.

Ike is proud to be a pro-labor FDR Democrat, because he knows that a strong middle class is the backbone of American prosperity and opportunity for everyone.

What's good for labor unions is good for American families. Wage data shows that even non-union members are paid more in places where labor union membership is higher. If you have a good pension, if you make overtime or have access to paid leave, it's thanks to labor unions.

But Ken Buck and the Republican Party are on a mission to undermine labor unions and erode the rights of workers. They are fighting against laws that protect workers and have made it their mission to strip away hard-won benefits from American families.
