Friend --

By now, I'm sure you've seen the chaos following the Iowa caucuses last night. One of my chief concerns in the Senate has been securing the integrity of our elections and preserving our democracy. Unfortunately, Republicans in the Senate have blocked all of my election security bills.

I promise to continue fighting for election security in the Senate -- but I need your help to keep my seat in November.

While the Department of Homeland Security indicated that failures in the app used in last night's caucuses were not the result of malicious cyber activity, the continuing turmoil in Iowa illustrates a larger problem -- we have yet to take the necessary steps to ensure the integrity of our elections.

It's time to take a hard look at the election systems we have in place and make sure they're up to par, from registration systems to election night reporting. We need to elect a Senate that takes the integrity of our elections seriously.

The chaos in Iowa created an environment where misinformation is allowed to run rampant online, which further undermines our democratic process. This is an early warning sign that Congress, local officials, and social media companies have more work to do.

We can prevent this. Everyone deserves to know that our elections are fair and secure. Will you chip in to help me keep fighting for the integrity of our elections in the Senate?

Thank you for your support.
