Dear Friend,

We try to only send out really important information to you regarding things we need reinforcements for in North Carolina to make sure your values are defended in law and elections.

As most of you know, we have been working tirelessly on MANY bills that have a good chance of being passed now that we have a veto-proof majority. The challenge is that the topics are very controversial, so we have to motivate the Republicans to stand up for what is right and pass these laws with significant negative pressure from the Left.

These 3 bills will be put before committee tomorrow, and we need people to come voice your opinion in support of these bills:

1. (10am) HB808 - Youth Health Protection Act (preventing medical transitioning for minors under the age of 18) Location- House Health Committee - Room 643 Legislative Office Building

2. (1pm) HB823- Choose your school, Choose your future (universal opportunity scholarship available to every family to choose private school) Location- House Education Committee- Room 643 Legislative Office Building

3. (2pm) HB647- Expedite Child Permanency (bill to help babies born to substance-abusers get placed in a permanent home sooner; puts the developmental and attachment needs of the child first) Location- Room 421 Legislative Office Building

If you are available to come to Raleigh to testify for 1-3 min and show support for any or all of these bills, we would be very grateful. If you plan to do so, please email me at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> so I can help you with talking points.

If you are unable to come to the legislature tomorrow (5/2), please send emails or call your representatives. It is also helpful to email the Speaker of the House, Tim Moore,?to thank him for moving these bills through committees this week! [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>

Unfortunately we don't get much notice on when these bills are being heard, so it tends to be last minute like this. If you are able to help, that is wonderful. Also, please push this email out to any conservative email lists you may have!

Sincerely,

Courtney Geels,
