Happy May Day,
John! ✊
It's International Workers' Day, and I wanted to take a moment to discuss
our fight for working people.
Our story in Western Pennsylvania is a story of union strength. From
steelworkers to health care workers, from teachers to baristas,
electricians to construction workers — organized labor is at the heart of
our communities.
But Pittsburgh will only remain a union town if we actively work to
empower those organizing for better working conditions. That's why I'm
proud to be a pro-union, pro-labor member of Congress.

[ [link removed] ]I will always stand in solidarity with workers in Western Pennsylvania
and across the world. If you're with me, will you chip in today to help
stand up against union-busting corporations and strengthen our labor
movement?

Every worker deserves a union. Unions are one of our greatest tools to
reduce inequality, raise wages, support better benefits, expand job
protections, and stop corporate wage theft.
In Congress, I'm proud to be an original co-sponsor of the Protecting the
Right to Organize (PRO) Act — the most significant worker protection
legislation since the Great Depression. The PRO Act would make urgent and
necessary amendments to outdated labor laws, including prohibiting
employers from permanently replacing striking workers, banning the use of
lockouts, and strengthening the legal rights of employees to join a labor
union.
[ [link removed] ]Together, we can invest in a growing, robust labor movement that
reflects the future of our workforce across race, gender, and industry.
Can you chip in to help our team continue building our people-powered,
worker-centered campaign today?
In solidarity,
Summer
