Hi John,
Julie Su was in front of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on April 20 for her confirmation hearing to be secretary of labor. Her testimony was personal and heartfelt, and it reinforced what the labor movement has always known: Su has the necessary experience, values and proven leadership to do the job.
But after a party-line vote out of committee, we can’t take anything for granted when it comes to getting Su confirmed as secretary of labor. That’s why we’re coming to you now—we need your help to urge your senators to vote YES.
Help us celebrate May Day—also known as International Workers’ Day—by helping to support a pro-worker labor secretary nominee.
Will you take just three minutes to call your senators and urge them to vote YES on Julie Su’s nomination to be secretary of labor?
Su has never backed down from a fight when workers’ fundamental rights were on the line, and with your help, we’re not backing down either.
Thank you for standing with working people and Julie Su.
In Solidarity,
Team AFL-CIO
P.S. We put a short video together to highlight Julie Su’s incredible record of standing up for working people. Take a look!
