We have HUGE news.
Medicare for All legislation will be introduced in the U.S. House and Senate on Tuesday, May 16!
We’ll have more to share with you soon about how you can take action ahead of the bill introductions to help secure your members of Congress as original cosponsors. But today, we want to talk to you about how you can help amplify this huge moment in the days afterward.
Immediately following the re-introduction, we need to hit the ground running to spread the word and bring as much visibility and attention to these bills as possible.
That’s why we’re organizing a National Medicare for All Weekend of Action on May 20 & 21. We’ll be canvassing in communities across the country to talk to our neighbors about the legislation that was just introduced and how they can take action to support it. Can you be one of the people we need to step up and host an event?

After you sign up, we’ll send you all the details and information you need to know about how to host an action, including options to join a group training call this week.
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, authors of the House legislation, and Senator Bernie Sanders, author of the Senate legislation, will jointly introduce their bills to Congress on Tuesday, May 16.
The United States is functionally the only industrialized country in the world where getting sick can make you go bankrupt. We deserve so much better than our broken, expensive health care system. Medicare for All is the way forward.
Not only will Medicare for All guarantee health care to everyone, it'll also be hundreds of billions of dollars cheaper than the broken, for-profit system we have now. It is cost-effective and humane, and it's time that we make it a reality.
In solidarity,
