Dear John,

Recently, I stood shoulder to shoulder with construction workers to re-launch the Bipartisan Building Trades Caucus. As someone who began their career on construction sites, I know that an American-made economy begins with America's workers, and this caucus will have their backs. Read more about the caucus here.

Rep. Norcross stands with members of Congress, labor leaders, and construction workers outside the U.S. Capitol.

Our first order of business is to introduce the Apprenticeship Hubs Across America ActI know firsthand the value of working with your hands and the need to grow our workforce in the face of global challenges. This bill will do exactly that, working to expand registered apprenticeship opportunities and support job training programs across the country.

I look forward to working with fellow co-chair Rep. Fitzpatrick and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find common sense solutions that create an American-made economy.

What Else Am I Working On?

  • I led the re-introduction of the Protect the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. As wage inequality continues to leave workers and middle-class families behind, this legislation would empower millions of Americans to stand together and ensure they are getting their fair share of economic growth. I'm proud keep fighting to pass this landmark legislation.
  • I re-introduced legislation to make Workers' Memorial Day a national holiday and honor those who gave their lives to make our country great. Here is a short video of me paying my respects to those workers who died in service to passengers on Amtrak rail.
  • A new report from the Strategic Organizing Center found that injuries experienced by Amazon warehouse workers are more frequent and severe than other workers in the industry. It is further proof that Amazon puts record profits over worker safety. I will continue to push for safer working conditions at Amazon’s warehouses because the men and women who make Amazon a trillion-dollar company deserve better. Read my full statement here.
  • I secured $750,000 in new funding to stabilize Berth 1 at the Balzano Marine Terminal. This federal funding will create jobs and help the port meet increasing business activity. Read about the project here.

It's great to bring these pro-worker policies to the table, and it's my honor to serve.

In Solidarity,
