John,
Yet again, extremists are stealing the freedoms of Texans who don’t fall in line with their narrow-minded beliefs. Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2, two must-stop bills are moving in the House, and we’re counting on you to show up [[link removed]] .
*
SB
14
[[link removed]]
,
the
companion
bill
to
HB
1686,
will
be
on
the
House
floor.
This
bill
would
restrict
lifesaving
health
care
for
transgender
adolescents,
including
puberty
blockers
and
hormone
therapy
—
care
that
every
major
medical
group
in
the
U.S.
declares
is
safe
and
critical.
*
On
top
of
that,
SB
1515
[[link removed]]
,
which
would
require
Texas
public
schools
to
display
the
Ten
Commandments
in
every
classroom
starting
next
school
year,
hits
the
House
Education
Committee
tomorrow.
This
bill
violates
the
religious
freedom
of
the
diverse
array
of
faiths
in
Texas
by
stating
that
a
copy
of
these
Judeo-Christian
principles
must
be
“legible
to
a
person
with
average
vision
from
anywhere
in
the
classroom.”
We’re going to show up to oppose this legislation and hold our elected officials accountable. Can you be there, John? [[link removed]]
