STOP THE BLEED® Educational License Program 2.0 - now available! If your organization is planning to start or grow a  STOP THE BLEED® program, this is big news!

The US Department of Defense (“DoD”) STOP THE BLEED® program is a public health campaign designed to train and equip private citizens to be able to save the lives of people who have suffered a traumatic injury involving severe blood loss. DoD issues STOP THE BLEED® Educational Licenses to qualified organizations that agree to teach DoD approved bleeding control techniques.


The program now includes an easy, online application process, and for approved organizations, access to a variety of free training materials and other resources. 


The program is available to any organization seeking to implement or grow their STOP THE BLEED® program as well as organizations planning to offer STOP THE BLEED® classes to their community.

Connect with the Stop the Bleed Coalition

The Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.

STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
