The tentative results from Iowa last night are a major victory for the
progressive movement. After last night, we’ve proven that voters are
hungry for elected officials who will fight for our values.

Nothing is more powerful in politics than the power to define what the
issues are. We’ve changed the playing field to be on our terms.

But no one person can carry a transformation of our democracy and economy
on their own. This revolution is about building a progressive movement
that will transform America’s economy and society to save our planet and
benefit all people.

Right now, we have a major opportunity to elect nine diverse,
working-class champions to Congress who will fight with us to transform
the Democratic Party to fight for voters, not big corporate donors.

The power to legislate this revolution into reality isn’t just in the
presidency — it’s in building a mission-driven caucus of Justice Democrats
who will fight like hell for our platform in the halls of Congress. The
political revolution is an ongoing struggle that has only just begun.

That’s why we’ve recruited progressive leaders in districts across the
country who will hold any Democratic president accountable to fight for
Medicare for All, free college, ending mass incarceration and deportation,
and a Green New Deal in 2020.

By electing leaders such as Jessica Cisneros in TX-28, Marie Newman in
IL-03, and Jamaal Bowman in NY-16, we can continue this momentum and make
the Democrats in Congress fight for working-class people.
