John, we have never had a situation like today.

A situation where a twice-impeached former president, who incited a failed insurrection to overturn an election, who is facing criminal charges and multiple state and federal investigations, is running against an incumbent president.

And let’s just get this out of the way. While other Republicans are running, Donald Trump remains the frontrunner.

Let’s also acknowledge that tens of millions of voters have had their minds made up about President Biden and Trump for years.

Knowing everything we did in 2020, that election still came down to a few thousand votes in a few key battleground states. Many of the Senate races in 2022 were even closer.

This means that in the 2024 election for the White House and Senate majority, it will come down to resources, turnout, and who can motivate their supporters to the polls.

That’s what we need to focus on. That’s what the future of our democracy and the soul of our nation depends on.

I’m going to be showing up to phone banks and door-to-door canvasses, organizing meetings, and recruiting volunteers wherever I am needed to help defend our progress in 2024, just like I always have.

But that effort will take a considerable amount of resources to travel the country. It will take planning.

Very critically, it will take us reaching our fundraising goals so that my team can plan to spare no expense in our defense of the White House and our Senate majority in 2024.
