Last night was the beginning of the process to select a Democratic nominee to run against Donald Trump.

And while we don’t yet know the results of the Iowa Caucus, one thing is clear: No matter who the Democratic nominee is, the ONLY way he or she is going to be able to enact any of their agenda after they defeat Trump is if we also defeat Mitch McConnell and end his stranglehold on the Senate.

Mitch McConnell has blocked over 400 bipartisan bills passed by the House from even getting a vote. And Mitch laughs about it, calling himself the “Grim Reaper” of a “legislative graveyard.”

Luckily, Democrats have a very real chance of defeating Mitch McConnell when he’s up for reelection this November.

Mitch McConnell has never been more vulnerable. His approval ratings are the worst they’ve ever been. We have a strong Democratic challenger named Amy McGrath who is outraising Mitch by millions of dollars. And in the most recent public poll, McConnell and McGrath are in a statistical TIE!

We CAN defeat Mitch McConnell, but tens of millions of dollars of dark money from special interests are about to flood the state with TV ads – attacking and lying about Amy McGrath to try to help Mitch hold onto his seat.
