Hello Team,

With everything going on on Capitol Hill, we were almost too busy to notice that it was the end of the month. Every day the Republicans in the House give us a new reason to send them packing next year. This week, they're holding the entire US economy hostage unless Democrats agree to drconian budget cuts to veteran benefits, programs for our poorest children, and investments in clean energy. If Democrats don't agree to these cuts, Republicans will refuse to raise the debt ceiling, sending our economy into a tail spin.

This is Kevin McCArthy's "leadership" in a nutshell: placating the most extreme elements of the Republican party regardless of the costs to our country. The battle for the House has already begun, and we here at Team Connolly need to do our part.
