As an immigrant, most would’ve never expected someone like me to end up as a member of Congress and truthfully, I did not expect it myself.

But for one, I care too much about Long Beach and Southeast LA, our state, and this country to let it fall into the hands of special interests that don’t value the needs of working Americans.

So when my team reached out to me earlier this week, letting me know that we are pacing behind our fundraising goals, I was concerned. Concerned that our movement is losing momentum.

But the reality is campaigns are expensive. But we cannot let money stop us from fighting for working class families, immigrants, LGBTQ+ communities, and everyone in between across California and across America.

So I am reaching out to you for your support because we need the resources to not only have to keep this seat safe, but fight as hard as we can to support candidates that can take back the House majority.
