Click here Policy Proposals for Achieving Prosperity: Where Do We Go in 2020?As election season nears and the 116th Congress begins year two, Prosperity Now is promoting federal policy opportunities that seek to achieve prosperity for all. We've developed a series of proposals to increase access to affordable housing, promote savings and bridge racial wealth inequity. Join us for a 3-part webinar series where our policy experts will break down these policy proposals and what they mean for your community! Affordable Homeownership On February 11, we'll discuss housing affordability and access to homeownership for working families. This will include a deeper dive into our most recent policy proposal, "Coming Home: Providing a Pathway to Housing for All," that aims to reduce housing cost burdens at different stages, from renting, to saving up for homeownership, to dealing with the ongoing costs associated with owning a home. Financial Security On February 18, the second webinar will focus on financial security for low- to moderate-income Americans. We'll discuss the ASSET Act, a bill to promote saving by removing asset limits from social programs. We'll also discuss our recent federal matched-savings policy proposal that's expected to be introduced this Congress. Racial Wealth Divide On February 25, our final webinar of the series will focus on how the American Opportunity Accounts Act can help provide meaningful resources for the next generation to build on while also addressing the racial wealth divide. In addition to providing an overview of the latest data on economic and racial wealth inequality the country is facing, the webinar will also detail specific policy design features and recommendations that should be part of a national Baby Bonds program. Each webinar will break down what these policies would mean for your community, our advocacy goals for each in 2020 and what you can do to help. Join us for this series and learn directly from our policy and advocacy experts. Now is the time to build momentum for the asset-building policies we wish to see enacted in the future!
