I wanted to take a moment to share with you some of the work that we have been doing for the people of Ohio over the past few months. I am committed to fighting for the needs of our communities, and I am proud of the progress we have made so far this year.
This year, I’ve been able to secure:
- $16.1 million to the Toledo area to spur jobs and solar energy innovation. This funding will help create new opportunities for our workers, while also supporting the growth of clean energy in our region.
- A $400,000 matching grant award to the Toledo Museum of Art, which will help ensure that our community continues to have access to world-class cultural experiences.
- A $3.971 million grant award to expand the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program in Ohio. This funding will help ensure that our seniors have access to healthy, nutritious food, while also supporting our local farmers.
Of course, there is still much more work to be done.
