We're emailing to ask for something a little different than usual today, and we hope you'll keep reading on to hear why.

As you know, Ilhan funds our campaign the right way — grassroots supporters chipping in small amounts, often to emails like this one.

That's a fact we're incredibly proud of, and we hope you are too.

But here's the situation: while the number of contributions we've received this month has been strong, our average contribution has dipped considerably. This month we're down by about $4.94 each compared to last quarter.

We know it doesn't seem like much, but when you rely on lots and lots of people chipping in, it adds up very quickly.

There's two ways we can fix this before midnight — either bring in a LOT more contributions today, or by asking our supporters to chip in slightly more than we usually would.

Au — you may have noticed that when we send a fundraising email, we usually ask you for $3. But if you could chip in $4.50 to Ilhan today, it'd go a long way toward reaching our April fundraising goals.
