Traveling back and forth between Michigan and D.C. is typically a big shift, especially during this time of year.

One moment, I’m running around Washington sweating in the 85 degree humidity. Then the next, I’m driving to my favorite spots in Michigan, bundled up in a thick sweater.

But despite the ins and outs of Spring, nothing makes me feel more grounded than coming home. Birds chirping, the Great Lakes unfreezing, flowers blossoming, outdoor breweries opening – nothing quite compares.

Returning to Michigan always reminds me of how beautiful my home is, and why I’m in Congress to protect it.

When I’m in Michigan, I’m hit with the hard reality that across our state, right-wing radicals are actively trying to pollute Michiganders’ minds with lies and deceitful narratives.

But so long as I’m MI-11’s Congresswoman, I won’t tolerate it.
