“Is there one among you who will say ‘enough!’?”

That’s what Rep. Adam Schiff asked the Senate yesterday, as the impeachment trial drew to a close.

“Every single vote, even a single vote by a single member can change the course of history. It is said that a single man or woman of courage makes a majority.”

Unfortunately, the Senate majority has shown no courage at all. Cory Gardner and most of his Republican colleagues have voted in lockstep to preserve, protect and defend the President—not the Constitution.

Enough.

We need leaders willing to defy their own party when their conscience or the Constitution demands it. That’s one of many promises Sen. Gardner made but never kept.

In nine months, Colorado will replace Cory Gardner. Let’s make sure our next senator has the courage this moment requires.
