UPDATE: Friends, sometimes all I can do to keep from being distraught is try to make a difference in a world that seems like it's gone mad. Since we sent you the below email, in Cleveland, TX, a family whose baby was trying to sleep asked their nextdoor neighbor to please stop shooting his AR-15 late at night. He reportedly said "I can do whatever I want." They returned home. Shortly thereafter, the man, Franscisco Orepeza, walked into their house and tried to murder the entire family.  Like Rep. Landsman, whom I wrote about in the below email, the only words I could think of were obscene--because they described an obscenity. This "person" executed an 8-year-old boy. As the father of boys, it's hard not to break down writing that. The bodies of 2 women were found on top of 2 surviving children. They gave their lives for their kids. How did we get to where adults must give their lives like they're in a war zone just to save their children? It's so heartbreaking, so barbaric, and, yes, only exists because the Republican Party values guns over children's lives. All I can think of to do at this moment is try to make things better. So, I ask you again to support someone who desperately wants to end this. Please join Blue Amp in giving Congressman Landsman $5, $10, $25 or whatever you can to reelect a good one. We can be sure he'll fight to pass the laws to end our gun insanity. I thank all of you for doing all you can to make sure that someday soon we won't have to live like this. Greg Landsman, who won a swing seat in Ohio's First District, becoming the ONLY Democrat to beat a multi-term GOP incumbent last cycle. Nobody had been able to beat seditionist Steve Chabot in 14 years. Why Did Landsman curse? The natural reaction of a father to the Nashville shooting where children were murdered. When clueless reporters asked him if he represented his constituents by using this language, he was just as shocked. Greg responded by asking what was obscene, using the word "fuck" when kids are murdered or voting to let someone with a violent history get an assault rifle to murder our children? Worse, Republicans saying they'd do NOTHING to stop the next mass murder as kids still lay where they abruptly & tragically lost their lives.  Landsman's the kind of leader we need in Congress--someone who finds Republicans' protecting guns over children obscene, Republicans taking control of women's bodies obscene, the Republican he beat in 2022, Chabot, voting to decertify electoral votes and overthrow our republic obscene. Most of our media may not have their priorities straight, but Landsman sure does. This seat is a toss-up, and EXACTLY the kind of district we MUST hold to have any chance of taking back the House.
