Dear John,

On February 6th at 5pm PST, the Law Enforcement Action Partnership will join Global Exchange, Students for Sensible Drug Policy and the Drug Policy Alliance to host a unique and powerful online panel and conversation on the need for ending the War on Drugs in California and across the United States.

We believe that following the amazing success and positive impact of marijuana legalization, we should expand the analysis and discussion to include all drugs.

This Thursday, the conversation will focus on why decriminalization has worked elsewhere and how it can work in California and across the country. Our online panel features three extraordinary leaders with deep experience in Human Rights, Law Enforcement, and Public Policy, to lead the discussion:

  • Grey Gardner - Senior Staff Attorney @ Drug Policy Alliance

  • Diane Goldstein – Executive Board Member @ Law Enforcement Action Partnership

  • Grace Meng - Senior Researcher, US Program @ Human Rights Watch

Panelists will address questions such as:

  • What is Decriminalization?
  • Why is Criminalization a Problem?
  • Why is Decriminalization the Solution?
  • What are the Efforts to Reduce Drug Penalties in the US?
  • What are Other Countries’ Experiences With Decriminalization?

We hope you'll join us for this important conversation. Click here to register

Together we can end the War on Drugs.

In Solidarity,

Major Neill Franklin (Ret.)
Executive Director
