John,

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The decision to have a child should rest solely between a woman and her doctor, not the government or politicians.

Yet as I say that, extreme Republicans in our state legislature have drafted numerous bills trying to strip away our reproductive rights and criminalize abortion.

They even went as far as to disguise a bill trying to attack the right to choose as one that would protect victims of domestic violence — and I along with local domestic violence organizations called out this deceitful, trojan horse bill.

Make no mistake, as Governor, I’m doing everything in my power to protect women in our state, and I will veto every bill that compromises our rights as soon as it hits my desk.

But the truth is, I can’t fight alone. I’m counting on support from folks like you as the attacks against reproductive freedom continue to ramp up.

If you’re with me, I hope you’ll consider pitching in before our end-of-month deadline tomorrow:

Last year, Arizonans at the ballot box sent a message loud and clear that politicians need to stay out of doctor’s offices and focus on the issues affecting our daily lives — like affordable health care, the teacher shortage, water crisis, and so much more.

And thanks to this grassroots team’s continued support, I’ve been working to address those problems and make progress for working families, all while defending our fundamental rights from ongoing Republican attacks.

I couldn’t be more grateful to have you by my side.
