Dear John, Over the last month, extremists have continued their attacks against abortion rights. Between targeting Mifepristone — which is extremely safe and effective — for purely ideological reasons, implementing near-total bans in more and more states, and preventing patients from seeking care out of state, it's been a bad month. But that only makes me more determined to pass the Women's Health Protection Act, which guarantees the federal right to an abortion. Abortion restrictions are widely unpopular, and everyone — including anti-choice Republicans — knows it. They just don't care. Which means we need all hands on deck to vote them out.
