After more devastating instances of gun violence around the country, Jim reintroduced his bill to close the Charleston loophole that allows guns to get into the hands of dangerous people -- including the gunman behind the 2015 Mother Emanuel shooting -- without a background check.

CREATING JOBS
Thanks to the CHIPS Act, we’re revitalizing U.S. manufacturing and creating good-paying jobs -- including in South Carolina, which is among the states to secure the most manufacturing projects following the bill’s passage.

KEEPING US CONNECTED
The bipartisan infrastructure law secured investments to replace six outdated bridges in rural areas in South Carolina, and it’s getting broadband into more homes.
