We fund voter protection John, We’ve seen attacks on voting rights unfolding across the country this year as Republican politicians continue their assault on our democracy. And election workers are feeling the brunt of these attacks. Most recently, in Texas, we’ve watched as heads of elections boards have been forced to resign after receiving death threats, just for doing their job. Former election official Heider Garcia of Tarrant County Texas has received multiple death threats online and has had private information, including his home address, leaked to the public. Those threats, and ongoing attacks from state legislators and others, led Garcia to resign. We’re seeing similar trends in other states like Georgia and Arizona, as well. It’s critical that we do what we can to stand with election officials as they work to make sure our democracy functions as it should. Looking for a way to pitch in? In 2020 and 2022, we successfully fought off Big Lie supports at the ballot box. Voter protection programs were key to those wins. We have a successful model that works – but we need to be prepared to do it again, because the threats are not going away anytime soon. Thanks,
