Hi John! Kickstarting my re-election campaign has been such a joy. But between the handshaking and policy sharing, I want to remind you why I’m running – specifically who I’m running for.
Our community deserves competent, compassionate officials advocating for all – especially now, as the failures of our federal “leaders” make it clear that local politics is more impactful than ever.
I’ve fought to raise the minimum wage for county workers and provide housing assistance during the pandemic. I’m using my platform to be the voice Durham deserves because our local community members matter: not just as numbers or ideas, but as real people.
John, when our community members are not having their needs met, no race is too small to help. That’s why I’m running: to be the advocate each individual voter desperately needs. But I’ll be honest. If we don’t hit every fundraising goal we set, we risk losing the future we deserve.
I know I can be the leader that fights for bold progressive policies for our community. I just need you with me. Can you please donate $27 to help us hit our first end-of-month goal and power our grassroots campaign for people-first change? >>
Thank you,
Nida Allam
