John —
I’ve got a few free minutes today, so I wanted to send you a quick message. I know a few minutes doesn’t sound like a lot, but you’ve got to make the most of it when your schedule gets as full as mine does.
And with those few minutes, I was hoping you’d let me explain why a donation of any amount, especially today, is so important.
Tomorrow is our end-of-month deadline, and my team tells me we’ve got some ground to make up. But that’s okay, because this team always shows up when we need them to.
That’s how we’ve won two of the most expensive and competitive Senate races in history. Looking ahead, think of your donation as an investment in the security not only of this seat, but of our control in the Senate. Whoever holds the most seats holds the power, and right now the split is 51 Democrats to 49 Republicans. One seat.
I’ve been traveling the country supporting our friends in competitive races, most recently with my buddy Jon Tester in Montana. They need a lot of help, and I’ll be burning up the phones and doing as much travel as I can to keep supporting them.
But I can’t do it without you. Never could.
I hope you can see how important your donation is — not just to me, but for all the work we need to do in the Senate.
