David Perdue has been a leading voice in making the president’s acquittal a foregone conclusion with tomorrow’s vote. He has called the House impeachment a “sham,” voted to reject witnesses, and shown the president that no matter what he says tonight, the Senate’s Republican majority will stand behind him.
